During the holy Year, the faithful are cnouraged to make a pilgrimage to the site of the martyrdom in Najran. For those in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, for whom such a pilgrimage is not possible, a pilgrimage can also be made to the Shrine of the Arabian Martyrs in St. Joseph Cathedral, Abu Dhabi, where some of the martyrs' bones have been enshrined. Pilgrimage and prayer in front of the relics of the martyrs is indulgenced.
A pilgrimage may be made for a variety of reasons - to obtain a particular grace through the prayers of the martyrs; as an act of thanksgiving for a grace already received; or simply to grow in faith. The purpose of the pilgrimage is spiritual renewal. Pilgrims are invited to reflect on the sacrifice of the martyrs and recall the labours of those who have kept the Christian faith alive in this region. The martyrs inspire pilgrims to witness to Christ in different ways in their own lives, and their powerful prayers continue to support all believers who seek their intercession.
