The mourning period for H.H. the late Pope Francis will be from 26 April 2025 to 4 May 2025.
During this time, Bishop Paolo Martinelli invites the faithful to join in special prayer, in public and in private, for the soul of Pope Francis. It is a pious practice to pray the Our Father, Hail Mary/Hail Holy Queen and Eternal rest for the departed. Works of mercy may also be carried out in memory of the Pope and indulgences applied for his soul.
A special station has been set up in front of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, where the faithful may offer prayers for the repose of the soul of the Pope when visiting the cathedral.
